I was raised in Long Beach, California, where I met my future wife Sally at Long Beach City College. We both came to know Christ at about that time and soon were discipled through a campus ministry. God eventually led me to a 37-year career as a public school teacher, and I loved (almost) every day of it!

We have been a part of the COBC family since 2006. As a church elder, I oversee Worship Ministry, Technology (about which I know very little), and Dress-A-Girl ministry. Also, I keep the minutes at weekly elder meetings. You can appreciate my work posted outside the church office!

Sally and I have 4 grown adult children and 11 growing grandchildren, at last count. Each one is a gift! Together, we enjoy reading, hiking, trailer “camping”, and just spending time with the “offspring”.

I am grateful to be able to lead and serve at a church that values the Word of God, teaches the grace of God, and shares the love of God. I love fellowship with this church family, that enjoys solid Bible teaching and heartfelt worship as much as I do.
