ABOUT NATHAN

I have lived in Tehachapi most of my life and was raised at Country Oaks as a kid. After high school, I attended and graduated from Life Pacific College with my undergrad degree in biblical studies. Although I made a confession of faith when I was 7 it was not until college that I truly started following Jesus as both my Lord and savior. It was during this time that God really got ahold of my heart and I felt the call to full-time ministry.

After spending time as an intern at Country Oaks, my calling to ministry was confirmed by the elders. I started Seminary in 2011 and graduated in 2014 from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. I have a love for God and His word and have been serving as the Teaching Pastor at Country Oaks since the Fall of 2018.

My wife’s name is Sarah Hiner and we have 3 amazing kids, Autumn, August, and Summer. We love traveling as a family and watching Laker games together at home. I have been a part of Country Oaks for most of my life and absolutely love this Church. I never would have dreamed that one day I would be the Lead Teaching Pastor of the church I grew up in but God’s plans are often beyond ours.
