ABOUT WENDY

My journey with Christ began when I was around 8 years old and rode a bus to a nearby church in North Carolina. I heard the gospel and received Christ, but it wasn’t until I grew in my relationship with Christ that I understood my true need of a Savior and the gift of grace I had been given. This is an ongoing process, as we all know. Learning about Jesus and his character, attributes, and ways takes a lifetime of study, prayer, and obedience, but I love this journey! Though at times it can be hard, disappointing, and very costly, there is also great joy and peace, blessings, and victories.

My husband Russ and I were married in 1984 and it has been an adventure ever since. We have 3 grown daughters: Stephanie, Ashley, and Katelynn. We also have 6 grandchildren: Elijah, Lincoln, Evie, Blaze, and twins Presley & Kenley. Being their mom & Mimi makes me happy every single day. We moved to Tehachapi in 1988 and are still in wonder that we get to live in this beautiful place. I enjoy decorating, organizing, crafting, DIY projects, and spending time with my family & friends.

I have been on staff at COBC since 1993. I love working here and enjoy the other staff I get to work with. My work at COBC is the regular place where God calls me to use and be a good steward of the gifts, opportunities, and abilities he has given me.
