WHAT TO EXPECT

COBC IN 3 MINUTES

WHAT DOES SUNDAY LOOK LIKE?

We realize visiting a new church can be scary. We want to make your first experience at Country Oaks a great one! On a typical Sunday morning, you'll be welcomed into a friendly, casual environment (seriously, wear whatever you want) by people from all ages and walks of life. You can expect the service to last about an hour and fifteen minutes, with hymns and modern worship songs (led by a praise band), a biblical verse-by-verse message from the Bible, and a safe and fun environment for your kids.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What time do you meet?

Our Sunday worship services are at 8:30am and 10:30am. We encourage you to stay after 1st service or come early to 2nd service for a time of fellowship.

Sunday school is available at 8:30am for all ages. In addition, Sunday school is also available for birth-4th grade during the 10:30am service, after the time of corporate worship (children will be dismissed from the Worship Center).

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you’re comfortable in! You’ll see people wearing anything from shorts to suits, but most people wear nice casual clothing.

How long does service last?

Services run around an hour and fifteen minutes each week. This includes about 20 minutes of worship music and a 45 minute sermon.

What version of the Bible do you use?

Pastor Nathan preaches from the ESV translation of the Bible.

What options are there for my kids?

We have so much to offer for your kids! Sunday school is available at 8:50am for all ages, beginning after our corporate worship time. In addition, Sunday school is also available for birth-4th grade during the 10:30am service, after worship (children will be dismissed from the Worship Center). Please read more about that right here.

What is the musical style like?

Our time of worship music is designed to be participatory and engaging, while proclaiming eternal truths about our eternal God. You can expect a mixture of old and new songs, led by a praise band in a modern style.

What’s most important to us is not the style (although we love music and love to sing), but the theological truth contained in the songs we sing. We believe that worship is a response to the revelation of God and it is our joy to respond in singing to Him through songs that declare His goodness, sovereignty, holiness, mercy, grace, and victory.
